Workers Rescued After Being Stuck Inside Silo Elevator
Two workers were rescued Wednesday after becoming trapped in a silo elevator at Sparrows Point, officials said.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Two workers were rescued by emergency crews after getting stuck inside a silo elevator.
The Baltimore County Fire Department said the incident took place Wednesday at the 1100 block of Wharf Road in Sparrows Point.
The "high-angle rescue" unfolded at the building solutions company Amrize.

Neither of the workers suffered any injuries.

Both workers were suspended about 75 feet in the air after the elevator encountered a mechanical failure, The Banner reported.
Earlier this year, the county's first responder crews reported to Cockeysville to free a worker who had become trapped waist-deep inside a sand hopper.
