Nearly one million people in the US are living with Parkinson’s Disease, with another 60,000 Americans being diagnosed each year, according to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation. Since Parkinson’s is a progressive disease of the nervous system, symptoms get worse over time.
“Living with Parkinson’s Disease,” a program for people with Parkinson’s Disease and their families and friends, will be held on Thursday, December 3, 8:30am – 12:00pm at the Edward A. Myerberg Center, 3101 Fallstaff Road in Baltimore.
The program, which is free and open to the public, includes presentations by experts from LifeBridge Health, Johns Hopkins University, Jewish Community Services and the Edward A. Myerberg Center. Participants will learn strategies for managing their disease as well as movement improvement exercises.
