Maryland’s First Lady Puts Kids First at the Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai
Lots of coloring, cutting, pasting and smiles were on the agenda for Mrs. Hogan's visit to Sinai Hospital's children.
First Lady of Maryland Yumi Hogan visited the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore recently to show her support for Sinai’s smallest patients and their families.
The First Lady helped children and their parents with arts & crafts projects in Lubcher Playroom and Feinglass Teen Lounge. As you can imagine, there was a lot of construction paper, yarn, crayons and glitter involved. The First Lady is passionate about the health and well-being of children, and she is also a talented artist in her own right so it was a wonderful morning for everyone!
First Lady Hogan then went to the Alfred I. Coplan Pediatric Hematology Oncology Outpatient Center at Sinai. There she spent one-on-one time with a young child who showed the first lady some of the pigs she has been making because pigs are her favorite animal. Mrs. Hogan was impressed!
