Samuelson’s Diamonds is Moving to Quarry Lake at Greenspring
New York's Diamond District Experience Comes to The Quarry
When Samuelson’s Diamonds & Estate Buyers opens its new doors at Quarry Lake at Greenspring (2800 Quarry Lake Drive, Suite 240) on Sept. 14, clients will enjoy the Diamond District experience without the hassle of traveling to the Big Apple. A third-generation family owned business, Samuelson’s has evolved with the times and with client demands to offer an estate jewelry buying and retail business model that is unique to the Baltimore area.
“After eight years in Chevy Chase offering our D.C. area clients a transparent, educational and private experience, we realized that this is the future of estate buying and retail sales,” said CEO Ron Samuelson. “At Quarry Lake we will focus primarily on estate buying—diamonds, jewelry, watches, silverware, and gold. Our in-house experts include gemologists, experienced jewelers, and certified diamond buyers. When clients meet with us, they’ll always have our full attention. Our appointment only model allows our team to answer all questions and make sure everyone fully understands the evaluation process and our offer.”
The 2,000-sq.-ft second floor office space will feature private consultation rooms for clients who are selling their jewelry, as well as a retail showroom that will feature a large selection of diamonds and pre-owned luxury branded jewelry and watches. A comfortable reception area and modern, sleek executive offices finish the space. Samuelson’s is open by appointment Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and one Sunday per month.

“One thing my father Milton always said, when he started this business in 1922, was that you have to change with the times,” said Steve Samuelson. “We strongly believe that the future of retail and estate buying is to provide a unique and pleasurable experience. You can think of this as bringing a little of New York City to Baltimore.”
Although this move represents Samuelson’s departure from its downtown Baltimore store, they still believe in the future of Baltimore City. They are keeping their partnership in the 400 block of West Baltimore Street, where the family owns 12 buildings and has national tenants such as Panera Bread and PNC Bank.
