• WSSC urges essential water use only due to power outage at Potomac filtration plant (mymcmedia.org) — Poolesville residents are not directly affected by WSSC's current power-related water restrictions because the town runs its own municipal water system, but nearby communities are being asked to use only essential water. WSSC warns that conserving now could prevent a boil-water advisory and protect supplies for fire protection while power is restored at the Potomac filtration plant.
