2. Stop by the Cabin John Regional Park Ice Rink at 6 p.m. to . The Potomac Speedskating Club welcomes skaters young and old as well as all levels of experience. The club hosts year-round programs at the Cabin John Ice Rink on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You know, the ice rink could be the perfect place to be on a warm evening.

3. Hey Redskins fans—I know there's more than a few of you out there. Fan Appreciation will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA. Watch the open practice and snag a few autographs. My son went a couple of years ago and had a blast. Go Skins!
