All You Ever Wanted to Know About Chocolate

Cookbook Author Sheilah Kaufman, on "THE HISTORY OF CHOCOLATE," presented by Potomac Community Village on Thursday, March 17.

Sheilah Kaufman, noted cookbook author, Potomac resident and a member of Potomac Community Village (PCV), shares her considerable knowledge and expertise about all things chocolate at PCV’s March 17th meeting. Attendees will be treated to a sampling of different varieties of the world’s favorite treat.

Placing chocolate in a historical context, Ms. Kaufman, award-winning author of 26 cookbooks and editor of numerous other cookbooks, enjoys a reputation for her “fearless and fussless” attitude toward cooking. She spans the gamut of international cuisine in her books, including Mediterranean and kosher, and has appeared at numerous food and wine festivals, including the Smithsonian Institution, Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival and the Turkish Embassy.

“I am delighted to be sharing all things chocolate, as well as entertaining and cooking tips, with my fellow members and friends of the Potomac Community Village. I can think of no more enjoyable communal experience than being with family and friends around the dinner table,” Kaufman said.
