Meet Nick Maravell and tour his Potomac farm. Maravell has farmed 20 acres on Brickyard Road for more than 30 years to develop a "county organic incubator." The county is in the midst of a process of seeking a contractor to build and operate four soccer fields encompassing the site.
The party, held in conjunction with the Maryland Organic Food and Farming Association, will feature live music, refreshments, farm tours and children’s activities. If you like, bring a potluck dish to share.
The event is free, but donations via check or cash will gladly be accepted.
