As I work my last (ever!) lacrosse home game at Churchill, I take the time to reflect on the 5 years that was spent working for athletics.
Over the past 5 years, I have met many great people along my 5 year journey. As I leave the press box for the very last time (in my high school career), an old door while another door opens, but do I take that route or go another way? That question I cannot seem to answer and will take time to have answer.
As I leave, I reflect on my years with Churchill Athletics.

I have met many great people along the way and truly my life would be different if I didn't do what I do best. Who knows what I'll be doing if I didn't do this. Who knows if I'd be that scumbag kids who sits on their butt and picks their nose (I kind of do that; sitting on my butt, minus the picking of the nose -_-)
When I first started, I didn't really get any recognition for my hard work. Looking back, I knew that there were people now that do recognize me for the work I provided. Even though that sometimes, I really didn't want to go, I toughed it out and went. Yeah I was late to a few games because of homework, but when I entered High School, my parents started to step back from me from doing my homework. Now, as a senior ready to graduate, my parents don't really care anymore (well sort of...). They now ask if I have a game on a particular day.

I have met some very great people along the endless journey.
-Mr. Dave Kelly (Former AD)- I want to thank you for allowing me to do this and trusting me in this as well. I don't know where and or what I would be doing if it wasn't without your help and trustfulness.
-Mr. Scott Rivinius (Current AD)- Even though that I only knew you for only a year and had you for a semester, you knew right away that I was very professional of what I do. I want to thank you for filling out my reference to be an intern for the police department and suggesting me for the Chinese School field day event. You also allowed me to continue my regular games that I worked and allowing me to get a feel for working for basketball. You also knew when you were putting up signs and talking on the phone when Mr. Rosenthal needed his training for Daktronics, you knew that I would be able to train him well. If it weren't for the basketball opportunity, I wouldn't have know Mr. Rosenthal nor Mr. Kraus nor Coach McMahon.
-Stu- I want to say thank you for being so kind to me and my family. My grandmother still remembers the time where you and Coach Jones helped her get from my moms car to the bleacher and back after seeing my brother's soccer game. I want to say thanks for allowing my mom or my dad to deliver food for me when I got hungry. I really means a lot to me and my family and can't really repay for all of those times.
-My good friend Adam Kass- I remember when we had the training for OES at the beginning of last year when I thought to myself, who is this kid trying to take over my job. Now you know where I live, been in my house, had food from my house. I never knew that only knowing each other for 2 years this would be happening.
Thanks for the wonderful memories I have had here with working with athletics for the past 5 years. Many more wonderful memories can be written in the future.
“It happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you've known forever don't see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.” -Nicholas Sparks
