Potomac Community Village Celebrates Its Volunteers and Community Supporters

July 21 event, with musical entertainment by "Just in Time" singers, will honor 58 volunteers, 20 community supporters.

The generosity, time and skills of 58 volunteers and 20ย community supporters who make it possible for its members to remain in the homes and neighborhood that they love will be recognized at a special Volunteers Appreciation and Community Supporters event held by Potomac Community Village on Thursday, July 21st at the Potomac Community Center, Falls Rd., Potomac, MD.

"We are thrilled at the response we have been getting from our volunteer community, and especially our community partners, who not only express their dedication but demonstrate it through donations of time, money and expertise," said PCV President Barry Perlis. "Without these supporters who actually walk the walk, we would not be able to deliver on our commitments to help people stay in their homes and continue to be vibrant and contributing members of our community," acknowledged Perlis.

PCV volunteers provide members with help for electronic devices, rides to appointments and shopping, caring for pets and plants, or just friendly calls or visits to strengthen the human connection. Community supporters will be accorded the spotlight for providing donations, gift cards, company discounts, fund-raising and other in-kind services. Of particular distinction, PCV recognizes The Bolger Center for extending its hospitality and location for monthly meetings, the Potomac Community Center and its director, Pete Selikowitz, for meeting space and program collaboration, and Carol Nerenberg, of Berkshire Hathaway PenFed Realty, and Hopkins and Porter for their significant monetary and other donations.
