Potomac's Team Nite Lites® Back to Back Champs in MD Senior Olympics
Maryland Senior Olympics 3 on 3 Basketball Sports Nite Lites Potomac Germantown
Team Nite Lites®, which has been playing & winning organized 3-on-3 men’s basketball tournaments across the country since 1985, did it again this summer, winning the 50-54 age group 3-on-3 Maryland Senior Olympic Games basketball title in August at the Discovery Sports Center in Boyds.
Subsequently, they qualify for the National Senior Games in Birmingham AL in June, 2017.
This year’s squad went 5-0, won games by an average scoring margin of 25 points, & its leading scorer again was Jerome Cooper (District Heights).

Also comprising the team was Kirk Kley (Wootton HS/Germantown) and Emory Atkinson (Miami, Fla.) & a new addition this year, former Montgomery County star big-man Charlie Thomas III (New Mexico/Wake Forest), whose son is a sophomore power forward at Wisconsin.
Team captain/coach Constantine Pergantis (Potomac), out with a broken nose, missed the competition but did win the shooting competition. Grant Orr filled in for him on the floor.
