• Calvert Sheriff's Deputy Policy Violations Reach Highest Level Since 2022 (thebaynet.com) — Calvert County's Police Accountability Board, meeting in Prince Frederick, reports eight sustained policy violations against sheriff's deputies in the latest period, the highest level since oversight began in 2022. Complaints remain rare compared with more than 84,000 calls for service, but several cases led to administrative charges. Sheriff Ricky Cox emphasized that every complaint is investigated, though specific deputies and incidents were not publicly identified. 
• Early College Students Begin College Careers at CSM (smnewsnet.com) — High school juniors and seniors from Calvert and Charles counties are getting a head start on college by taking full-time classes at the College of Southern Maryland, including at the Prince Frederick campus. Through the Early College program, students can graduate high school with a certificate or associate degree, while building confidence, leadership skills, and connections through clubs and campus life.
