• Bogotá Coffee House Officially Opens In Montgomery County (patch.com) — Rockville residents can now grab Colombian-inspired coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and smoothies at the newly opened Bogotá Coffee House on North Washington Street, which launched a few days earlier than planned. The shop, open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., promotes itself as offering a little taste of Bogotá right in downtown Rockville.
• Rockville Reports 6,188 Traffic Enforcement Actions, Up 1,246 From Last Year (mocoshow.com) — Rockville is ramping up traffic safety, with police logging 6,188 enforcement actions so far this year—1,246 more than the same period in 2025—as part of the city's Vision Zero push to end serious crashes by 2030. A new "It's Up to Us…" campaign urges everyone using Rockville streets to follow traffic laws, stay alert, and watch out for one another.
• Montgomery Co. nonprofit delivers hundreds of reusable menstrual pads to girls in Comoros (wtop.com) — A Montgomery County woman's nonprofit is helping girls in Comoros stay in school by sending reusable menstrual pad kits, with volunteers sewing from chapters in Rockville, North Potomac, and Virginia suburbs. If you're in Rockville, you can join local sewing or cutting groups as the organization looks to expand its volunteer base across the D.C. region.
