ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel extinguished a burning vehicle on Monday afternoon on southbound I-270 before Shady Grove Road, according to a 1:30 p.m. post on the department's official Twitter account. No injuries were reported.

The emergency response impacted several lanes of traffic, but all lanes are expected to open soon, according to the Tweet.
