ROCKVILLE, MD — As the coronavirus sweeps the nation, Montgomery College says it has donated more than 3,100 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the county's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
Montgomery College — which has campuses in Rockville, Silver Spring, and Germantown — donated PPE such as N95 masks, isolation gowns and gloves, hand sanitizer, shoe covers, bouffant caps, surgical masks, and face shields.
The donations were facilitated by the College's Coronavirus Advisory Team (CAT) and the items were donated from the college's Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology programs, Montgomery College said in a statement.
