ROCKVILLE, MD — KEEN Greater DC, which provides free recreational actives for children and adults with disabilities, celebrated its 31st anniversary last Sunday at Rockville's Timberlawn Local Park.

As part of the nonprofit's 20th annual Keen Sports Festival, volunteers teamed up with athletes for instructor-led activities, including fitness, Zumba, taekwondo and individualized play, according to a release.

The free event was an opportunity to provide people with all types of disabilities to enjoy one-on-one recreational activities in order to build confidence and self-esteem.
