• Gaithersburg Man Identified In Deadly Rockville Shooting (patch.com) — Rockville residents are being urged to share any information after a Gaithersburg man was fatally shot near Quincy's Potomac Bar & Grille off Seven Locks Road. Police say the 33-year-old victim was killed early Sunday after a prior confrontation, and the unidentified gunman fled the Rockville area. Crime Solvers is offering a reward for tips that help solve the case.
   

• Police Release Composite Sketch in Rockville Attempted Kidnapping and Carjacking (wfmd.com) — Montgomery County Police are asking Rockville residents for help identifying a suspect in a July 4 carjacking, assault, and attempted kidnapping on Croydon Avenue. A composite sketch has been released after the victim escaped from her moving vehicle and the car was later recovered on Parkvale Road. Anyone with information can submit anonymous tips through Crime Solvers by phone or online.
   

• Auto Thefts, Burglaries and Hate/Bias Incident Among Incidents in September 14 Crime Summary (mocoshow.com subscription) — Montgomery County Police reported an auto theft in the 1st District, which includes Rockville, after a vehicle was taken overnight on Cove Lane between September 13 and 14. The same daily summary details additional auto thefts, burglaries, and a hate/bias incident in other county districts, underscoring broader safety concerns that Rockville residents may want to follow.
