A 47-year-old Silver Spring man buys winning $50,000 Extreme Green scratch-off Maryland Lottery ticket at Courthouse Exxon in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A 47-year-old Silver Spring man recently scored a Maryland Lottery ticket worth $50,000 from the Courthouse Exxon at 700 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
The man purchased the Extreme Green scratch-off ticket for $5 from the gas station's store.
After scratching off the entire ticket, the man found that he'd uncovered "17," which matched one of the game's instant winning numbers worth $50,000.

For selling a op-prize winning scratch-off worth $50,000, Courthouse Exxon will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.
The Silver Spring man was the fourth person to find the top prize in the Extreme Green game, which debuted in July with eight $50,000 top prizes.
