Silver Spring Giant Sells Powerball Ticket Worth $50K In Wednesday Night's Drawing

SILVER SPRING, MD — A lucky Powerball player purchased a ticket for Wednesday night's drawing worth $50,000 at a Silver Spring grocery store, according to a release from the Maryland Lottery.

The winning ticket was bought at the Giant Store #354 located at 1280 East West Highway in Silver Spring, according to lottery officials. The winning numbers from Wednesday nights drawing were 21, 26, 30, 45 and 47. The Powerball was 23 and the Power Play multiplier was 3.

Since no one won the Powerball jackpot Wednesday night, the annuity rolls over to $87 million for Saturday's drawing. The cash-out option will be $46.8 million.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the backs of their tickets as soon as possible and keep them in a secure location.

Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to redeem their prize money.

Prizes over $25,000 can be claimed either by mail or in person at Maryland Lottery headquarters, which is located at the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. Winners must schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are not allowed.
