Aspen Hill Club Honored For Promoting Healthy Lifestyle Through Tennis, Physical Fitness
Del. Vaughn Stewart (District 19) presented to the Aspen Hill Club in recognition of its 46 years of promoting healthy living.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Del. Vaughn Stewart (District 19) presented a citation on Friday to the Aspen Hill Club in recognition of its 46 years of helping community members lead healthier lives through tennis, fitness and social interaction, according to a release.
“During the COVID-19 shutdown, this place helped me in so many ways," Stewart said, according to a release. "It helped me get back into shape, and more importantly, it provided me with the social interaction that I needed.”
All through May, Aspen Hill Club has hosted a number of events to celebrate National Tennis Month, including parent-child tournaments, USTA celebrations, and a French Open social event. On Friday, the club hosted a free beginner tennis clinic, which was followed by a tennis party for club members..

When it first opened for business in 1977, Aspen Hill Club had four outdoor green clay tennis courts and a trailer. Since then, the facility now offers more than 120,000-square feet of activity space with 21 indoor and outdoor tennis courts, pickleball, large gym, Olympic size indoor pool, Pilates, yoga, racquetball and more.
