Oma Pearl is a celebrated DC-based vocalist and performer best known as the lead singer of the former indie Americana/blues-rooted band Conjure Woman. With a powerful voice, magnetic stage presence, and deep appreciation for American roots music, she has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in a variety of musical configurations, ranging from an all-women’s blues band to an intimate duo featuring herself and a fellow musician. Her appearances have included the Washington Folk Festival, the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., the Silver Spring Blues Festival, and Black History Month programs at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. Throughout her career, Oma Pearl has captivated audiences with performances that blend blues, folk, and storytelling traditions, earning recognition as a versatile artist and cultural ambassador for the rich musical heritage of the region.
