July 3rd MoCo 'Shine Together' Fireworks 2026: Kensington

The Montgomery County 250th "Shine Together" Independence Day celebration will be held at Albert Einstein High School on July 3, with festivities running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Attendees can expect live music to start at 7 p.m., with fireworks scheduled to kick off at 9:15 p.m. Organizers say the start time for the fireworks display may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.

Food vendors will be on scene and residents are allowed to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers. No pets, alcoholic beverages, or smoking is permitted.

"Sign language interpreter services and other auxiliary aids or services will be provided upon request with as much notice as possible, preferably at least three business days before the event," reads the county announcement.

On-site parking will only be available for individuals with disabilities, but free parking and shuttle service will be available at Westfield Wheaton (11160 Veirs Mill Road) from 6:30 p.m. Signs will be posted for event parking and shuttles.

Officials warn that anyone who parks at the mall before 6:30 p.m. runs the risk of being towed.
