County Exec Seeks Residents' Input At Budget Forums (ICYMI)
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be holding a series of budget forums across Montgomery County starting Monday, Jan. 14.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be holding a series of budget forums across Montgomery County starting Monday, Jan. 14. At these five meetings, residents will have the opportunity to voice their opinions about the fiscal year 2020 operating budget priorities.
"It is very important for me to hear from the public as we prepare the budget," said Elrich. "I invite residents, our business community and nonprofit representatives to attend any of the upcoming budget forums to let me know your priorities."

The following budget forums will take place on:
- Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. — BlackRock Center for the Arts, 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown
- Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. — Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place, Silver Spring
- Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. — Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd., Silver Spring
- Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. — Mid-County Recreation Center, 2004 Queensguard Rd., Silver Spring
- Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. — Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, 4301 East West Highway, Bethesda
Sign language interpreter services will be provided upon request. To request these services, call 240-777-6507, Maryland Relay 711, or email Karen.falcon@montgomerycountymd.gov. Officials ask that you give notice as far in advance as possible, but no less than 72 hours prior to the event.

Elrich is scheduled to announce his recommended fiscal year 2020 operating budget on Friday, March 15. The Montgomery County Council is expected to approve the budget at the end of May.
