Domestic Assault, Burglary Charges Filed Against Silver Spring Man
Montgomery County Police arrested a suspect they say burglarized three apartment complexes in Silver Spring dating back to June.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested 41-year-old Tremaine McDowell in connection to a string of Silver Spring area burglaries. He was arrested at his home after officers noticed piles of Apple MacBook’s, iPhones, and other electronics during an earlier visit to McDowell's Silver Spring apartment.
Officers responded around 9:49 a.m., on Nov. 28, to an apartment in the 8700 block of 1st Avenue for the report of a domestic related assault in which McDowell was involved.
Investigators had already identified McDowell as a suspect in a series of residential burglaries that took place between June and November in the Lenox Park Apartments, The Veridian, and the Arrive Apartments.

During the 9:49 a.m. visit to McDowell's apartment, officers noticed the piles of electronics. Later that same day, investigators executed a search warrant for McDowell's apartment and found "items of evidentiary value," including apartment building key fobs and three loaded firearms, according to police.
Around 7:45 p.m., police arrested McDowell and took him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. McDowell was cited on multiple burglary-related charges and domestic violence-related crimes. He remained in custody without bond.
