Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing In Silver Spring Parking Lot

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 23-year-old Silver Spring man has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing that occurred in a parking lot on May 8, police said.

Oscar Danilo Manzano-Mora was charged with first-degree murder for the slaying of Edras Armando Munoz, 30, according to court records.

Montgomery County Police say the incident happened at 8528 Piney Branch Rd. on May 8. Responding officers arrived on the scene around 11 p.m. and located a critically injured Munoz in the parking lot of the shopping center. Investigators determined that Munoz was stabbed during a dispute with Manzano-Mora.

Munoz was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.

Circumstances surrounding the reported dispute aren't immediately clear.

Anyone with information about this homicide is urged to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. The county's Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of this suspect.
