SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police released surveillance photos Tuesday of a suspect they say robbed a Silver Spring business at gunpoint in June. Detectives are asking the public's help in identifying the man in the photos.

Around 10:50 a.m., on June 14, officers responded to the Tobacco Cloud store in the 11300 block of Georgia Avenue for the report of a commercial armed robbery, according to police.

Through their investigation, detectives determined that the suspect entered the store, threatened an employee with a handgun concealed in his waistband, and demanded money from the cash register. After the employee complied, the suspect exited the store and left the scene, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a being of medium build, wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, a blue face mask, blue gloves, gray sweatpants, and black shoes.
