16-Year-Olds Arrested For Stealing Shoes Off Victim's Feet At Silver Spring McDonald's
A juvenile was punched in the face and his shoes were stolen by two 16-year-olds last Friday at a Silver Spring McDonald's, police say.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and girl taking another juvenile's shoes last Friday at the McDonald's in the 12300 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring, according to a release.
An investigation revealed that the two suspects approached the juvenile victim and demanded that he give them his shoes. When he failed to comply, he was punched in the face and his shoes were taken off his feet. The two teens then fled the scene in a Honda SUV, according to police.
Shortly after the incident, members of the 4th District Community Action Team and Special Assignment Team spotted the suspects leaving John F. Kennedy High School in the same SUV that was seen leaving the scene of the robbery.

While conducting a traffic stop, the officers observed the stolen shoes in the SUV. They also found a "ghost gun," which is a privately manufactured gun, and a large cache of fentanyl in the vehicle.
The female suspect was taken to the 4th District station and released to her mother, according to police.

Police took the 16-year-old boy to the Central Processing Unit and charged him with robbery as as an adult.
