SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are once again asking for the public's help finding Brenda Lee Hopkins, who has been missing for a year.

On Aug. 9, 2018, the Silver Spring resident — who lives with her sister on Eden Road — was reported as missing to police. Her sister told investigators that she last saw Hopkins a day earlier. Officials weren't able to confirm that information. They were, however, able to confirm that Hopkins was outside her home for a funeral on July 12. Relatives who live out-of-state told investigators that they heard Hopkins in the background of a phone conversation they were having with Hopkins' sister around Aug. 1.

Police describe Hopkins, now 69, as a 5-foot-6, 110-pound black female with black hair and brown eyes.
