Participate in a Focus Group about the Impact of Social Media on Drug Use and Perceptions

The Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR) at the University of Maryland is looking for young adults ages 18 to 25 to participate in a 1½ hour focus group on the impact of social media on substance use and perceptions. Topics to be addressed during the focus group include what media youth and young adults are consuming, what is the drug-related content of such media, and what is the youth and young adult response to this drug-related content. Information collected will be used to better understand the impact of the internet and social media on substance use and perceptions of youth and young adults.

Participants must be between the ages of 18 to 25 years old and be active internet and social media users. No names or other identifying information will be used or recorded at any time during the group discussion and no questions about personal substance use will be asked.

Participants will be compensated $25 for participation in the focus group. For more details or to make a reservation to participate in the Focus Group, please call 301-405-9794 or email cesar@umd.edu.
