The Universities at Shady Grove’s Fall 2012 Open House Showcases Nine Partner Universities and 70 Degree Programs Offered at USG

Rockville, Md.—The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) will hold a Fall 2012 Open House on Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., for prospective students and family members. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs offered at USG, through its nine different partner universities within the University System of Maryland

Prospective students will be able to meet with representatives from USG’s nine partner universities to learn about admission requirements, transfer of previous credits, career tracks, financial aid, and more.

Participants will also have the opportunity to meet USG Student Ambassadors, who will speak to the personalized student experience at USG. The open house will also feature tours of the state-of-the-art campus, including the award-winning, “green” Camille Kendall Academic Center.  Select programs will offer fee waivers to those who apply for admission during the event.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to participate in informational workshops, in which they will be able to interact with academic counselors about their preferred programs of study and learn how their chosen degrees will relate to career opportunities.
