Just a few steps from the The Royal Mile, this new kid on the block (it just opened this spring) is polished to a shine but serves up old school Irish fare. The menu is spare but succuluent, and the fish and chips and bangers and mash are top-notch. The sandwiches are a lunch hour dream, especially the Limerick burger and the Irish Reuben. The crab cakes have very little filler, and little ones are given several palatable kids meal options.

Either before or after your meal, be sure to spend some time with your Guinness or whiskey at the long, winding bar. You will be hard-pressed to find a more lively and welcoming spot to sip.
