Business As Usual for 'Duck Dynasty' TV Franchise

Comments by the duck-call family patriarch about gays and civil rights sparked social media debate. Under Armour kept its business ties to the reality TV show intact throughout the controversy.

After a week of social media furor, theย A&E cable networkย has officially reinstated Phil Robertson on its hit reality showย โ€œDuck Dynasty,โ€reports theย Washington Post.

The network had suspended Robertson for making controversial comments about homosexuality and race relations, the Post said. Other members of Robertsonโ€™s family then said they couldnโ€™t film the hit show without him, and over the weekend the network changed its mind.

โ€œAfter discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming โ€˜Duck Dynastyโ€™ later this spring with the entire Robertson family,โ€ the network saidย in a statementย released late Friday, according to the newspaper.
