Child Struck In Takoma Park Parking Lot: Police

The girl was up and running about after being hit, and suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A child was struck in a Takoma Park parking lot Wednesday night, police announced Thursday.

At about 8:06 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 1300 block of University Blvd. for a report of a pedestrian struck, police said.

The girl was throwing away trash, ran into the parking lot in front of a parked vehicle and was struck by another vehicle. The girl was then up and running about, and suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The child was transported to a local hospital, and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said.
