Free Screening: Young Voices for the Planet
SPEAKING OUT. CREATING SOLUTIONS. LEADING THE CHANGE.
Young Voices for the Planet is a film series featuring young people who care about the Earth and are taking action! They are shrinking the carbon footprint of their homes, schools and communities. You, too, can do something about global warming! Your voice counts and you can make a difference! As youth environmental activist Alec Loorz says, “Kids Have Power.”
Join Lynne Cherry, of Takoma Park, originator, producer and director of the Young Voices for the Planet films for a discussion following the documentary. Lynne is well-known for her popular children’s books especially her rain forest classic, The Great Kapok Tree and her environmental history, A River Ran Wild. She will be on hand for a book-signing after the discussion.
