It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea of what you’ll do for the weekend.

1. "Do Something Reel" Film Festival

Where/When:  AFI Silver Theatre, 8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, Apr. 16-20 (check website for list of showtimes).

Why Go: 1) This is one of the only Maryland stops this month of the nationwide traveling film fest, sponsored by Whole Foods Market. 2) The films provide an eye-opening look at how choices we make can have a huge impact on our bodies, economy and our environment. 3) The forecast is calling for rain this weekend, so it may be a great time to catch a movie.

Pricing: $8 for all tickets.

2. 29th Annual Smithsonian Craft Show

Where/When: National Building Museum, 401 F Street, NW, D.C., Apr. 14 -17 (check website for daily hours).

Why Go:  The once-a-year show is considered by many to be the top juried fine craft exhibition in the country.

Pricing: Daily admission $15; Thursday and Friday after 6pm $6. Free for children 12 and under. A two-day pass is also available for $20.

3. Dance Around the World in 360

Where/When: Ellsworth Drive, Downtown Silver Spring, April 16, 3:00-9:00 p.m. 

Why Go: To enjoy demonstrations of dance from around the world.
