Happy Hour Introduction to Permaculture Design

Learn how to meet more of your basic needs for food, water, and energy, locally, by acquiring an in-depth understanding of your home property.  We can tap our local natural resources (sun, wind, water, soil, flora, fauna) to create site-specific design for a more self-reliant human habitat.

Redesign your life-style to grow your own food organically, harvest rain water while recharging the water table, retrofit your home for passive heating and cooling, and recycle wastes as fertilizer.  In so doing we reduce fossil fuel consumption, repair the health of all life forms, and improve our local economies.

Instructor:  Patricia Ceglia is a professional architectural designer, ecological site planner, and life-long organic gardener.  She consults for private clients, and the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, and teaches the Permaculture Design Certificate course at Wilson College, and at Heathcote Education Program, Cromwell Valley Park, Towson, MD.

$10 - $20 sliding scale, light refreshments provided
