The Silver Spring B&O RR station is one of many historical destinations open during Montgomery County's "Heritage Days" weekend.
Tour temporary and permanent exhibits featuring regional artwork inspired by downtown Silver Spring from the collection of SSHS president Jerry McCoy and historic local railroad photographs by Robert Davis. Model railroad displays for kids of all ages. Sunday ONLY: 2pm. Enjoy an abbreviated walking tour to the "spring" after which our community was named given by the SSHS.
Limited free parking is available in front of the station with ample street parking and parking garage available nearby. The station is listed in the National Register of Historic places.
The station will be open Saturday, June 29, 10am - 4pm and Sunday, June 30, 12-4pm.
