Man Robs Cab Driver In Takoma Park: Police
Takoma Park Police are searching for a man who stole a taxi driver's cell phone and fled the taxi without paying at the Quality Inn.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Takoma Park Police are searching for a man who stole a taxi driver's cell phone and fled the taxi without paying, police announced Wednesday. (For more news on local crime, subscribe to the Takoma Park Patch daily newsletter.)
At around 11 p.m. Tuesday night, a taxi driver picked up the male suspect at 23rd Avenue and University Boulevard in Adelphi.
The suspect asked the driver to drive him to the Quality Inn, then a bar, then back to the Quality Inn in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, police said.

Back at the Quality Inn, the man stole the taxi driver's cell phone and fled without paying the driver, police said.
The suspect is described by police as a heavy set Hispanic male in his 20s. He possibly has a mustache, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
