Takoma Park Police Searching For 3 'Suspicious' Men
Police are searching for three men who were soliciting residents for lawn care work, with no lawn care equipment in their possession.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A Takoma Park resident reported seeing a suspicious green minivan driving slowly through their neighborhood, while other residents reported sightings of young men soliciting residents for lawn care work, police said.
At about 11:45 a.m. Thursday, residents reported seeing the van driving in the 7200 block of Garland Ave., police said. This is also where residents reported seeing the young men soliciting residents.
The men, who were never seen before and were not dressed appropriately for gardening, had no lawn care equipment in their possession, police said. Anyone going door to door to solicit a service must have a Permit registered via the City of Takoma Park to do so and they should display it upon request.

Police describe the residents as:
- Black male, 5'10, medium build and complexion, short hair cut, wearing a bright, colorful jacket
- Black make, 5'10, medium build and complexion, short hair cut, wearing a light colored shirt
- Black male, unknown height and weight, medium complexion, short hair cut, unknown clothing
On the same date, the Takoma Park Police responded for a residential burglary in the 7200 block of Garland Ave., police said. However, the Takoma Park Police are not confirming whether or not any of these incidents are related.
