Washington Adventist Hospital to Hold Holiday Blood Drive

Consider these facts from the American Red Cross:

• Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
• More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.
• The blood type most often requested by hospitals is Type O.
• A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.

What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than giving blood for those who need it?

Washington Adventist Hospital and the American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive Nov. 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The drive will be held in the 3rd floor conference center.
