• Man accused of Fourth of July murder of his ex-girlfriend (thefreestatepress.com) — A Temple Hills man has been charged with murder after his former girlfriend was fatally shot in a vehicle on Brooks Drive in Capitol Heights late on July 4. Police say the killing was domestic-related and are still investigating what led to the shooting, asking anyone with information to contact the Prince George’s County Homicide Unit.
