1st Mariner Bank, the largest independently owned financial institution in Baltimore City, today announced the opening of its first office in the state of Delaware. Located in Newark, this office will expand 1st Mariner’s commercial banking services outside of its historic territory of Baltimore and surrounding Maryland counties. It marks continued growth for the bank that also includes robust new commercial loan originations of $130 million, strong non interest deposit growth of 20% and gross mortgage banking revenue of $24 million.
