Ashland Open Mic Show Night!

On Thursday June 4th “ War and Treaty” will perform at the Ashland Café Open Mic Night. From 8-8:30 PM. Admittance is Free!
MUSIC LOVERS
Tanya Blount and Michael Trotter Jr are a Husband & Wife Folk/American Duo. Five years ago two solo artists met at a Love Festival. They fell in love and combined their talents to form the “War and Treaty”. The duo has been performing on stage and writing beautiful music together ever since. Their writing styles and voices blend perfectly –in a way that is both powerful and divine. This duo has created a sound that is both riveting and innovative and nothing short of magical!
On January 21, 2015, the duo released their debut album entitled ‘The War and Treaty: Live at Blue House’, recorded in front of a live studio audience in Bethesda, Maryland. Fifty percent of all digital album sales proceeds in 2015 will be donated to Operation Second Chance, a non-profit organization committed to serving wounded, injured and ill combat veterans including those with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD hits close to home with the band, as Trotter was recently diagnosed with it after serving two tours in Iraq.

The Open Mic portion of the Show begins at 7:00 PM. You’ll be wowed by the talented local musicians who perform both original tunes and covers ranging from a wide array of musical genres.
MUSICANS
Open Mic performances will begin at 7:00 PM. We provide a complete PA System and optional set accompaniment on bass, percussion, drums and other instruments that are available.
