Baltimore County Dedicates War Memorial in Towson
The Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom Memorial contains 27 fallen soldiers' names.
TOWSON, MD - Community leaders and military members honored fallen service members Saturday in Baltimore County.
The Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom Memorial is a granite monument on the grounds of the Baltimore County Courthouse. The names of 27 Baltimore County citizens who lost their lives in these conflicts appear on the stone.
A dedication ceremony in the 100 block of West Pennsylvania Avenue in Towson Saturday featured a 21-gun salute, Vietnam Veterans and Marine honor guards, taps, Maryland Army National Band performance and keynote speech by Col. Steve McKinley, retired U.S. Marine Corps.
