'Best-Dressed Burglar' Identified: Baltimore County Police

The burglary suspect who was noted for his spiffy outfits on surveillance camera is now reportedly wearing a jumpsuit.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD - The suspect who wore suits and coveralls while burgling everywhere from a school to a nursing home is now being held without bail, Baltimore County police reported on Wednesday.

Richard Leroy Pierce, 63, of the 800 block of Seagull Avenue in Baltimore, was identified as Baltimore County's "best-dressed burglar" after suspect photos were released to the media last week, authorities said. Once he was seen in coveralls and twice he was spotted in suits on surveillance footage.

The burglaries began in June through unlocked doors. Authorities said he stole laptops and small electronics from a nursing home, elementary school, construction company, medical offices and insurance company in the Cockeysville and White Marsh precincts.
