BREAKING: A power outage has resulted in one school closure in Baltimore County.

LUTHERVILLE TIMONIUM, MD — One public school in Baltimore County is closed because of a power outage. School officials made the announcement on Monday morning.

Hampton Elementary School is closed on Monday, March 5, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.

More than 11,000 BGE customers in Baltimore County remain without power on Monday morning, after the nor'easter knocked out utilities to more than 400,000 people across the state.

Besides Hampton Elementary, located on Charmuth Drive, all other public schools in Baltimore County will open as scheduled on Monday.

At Jemicy, a private school in Owings Mills, the lower middle school will be closed Monday due to a power outage as well.
