The 23rd Maryland Public High School Dance Showcase (MPHSDS) will be held at Goucher College on Friday, January 6, 2012.
Two evening concerts will highlight the talents of 489 high school dance students from nine counties in Maryland. The informal showcase will be held in the Athenaeum at 5 p.m. and is free to the public. The formal showcase will be held in Kraushaar Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
At the end of the 7:30 concert, the All-State Dance Awards will be presented to twenty five dance students representing the highest level of talent and achievement in dance in Maryland Public Schools.

Representing Baltimore County Public Schools, Dulaney High School, Lansdowne High School, and Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts will perform in the 5 p.m. concert. George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology, Hereford High School, and New Town High School were selected via professional adjudication for the 7:30 p.m. concert.
The annual showcase is presented and sponsored in part by in-kind services from Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools, Goucher College, and Arts Education in Maryland Schools.
