Hunt Valley Towne Center Goes Pink to Support American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Hunt Valley Towne Centre and the American Cancer Society are partnering to fight breast cancer to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The Towne Centre will feature pink décor for October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and feature activities to support the mission.
Fundraising events include “Fitness by the Fireplace,” featuring 30 minutes of Orangetheory Fitness followed by 30 minutes of Club Pilates to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Baltimore. Each participant will receive a pink color changing water bottle.
WHEN: Fitness by the Fireplace: Tuesdays, October 1, 8, 15 & 22, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. , Check-in: 5:30pm. Workout: 6 – 7 p.m. Cool down and post-workout social to follow. Cost: $10. Register at: ShopHuntValley.com

The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation with more than 200 walks. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Baltimore takes place Sunday, October 13, 9 a.m. at the Y at 33rd St. and goes around Lake Montebello. Annually, the event raises approximately $200,000 and attracts between 5,000 to 6,000 participants. www.makingstrideswalk.org/baltimoremd
The Society currently has more than $67 million invested in 162 breast cancer research grants to help find more cures for breast cancer.
