Former Ravens Cheerleader Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Charges
Molly Shattuck is accused of raping a 15-year-old boy, serving alcohol to minors.

The former Ravens cheerleader accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy kept a low profile at court Wednesday in Delaware, where she avoided cameras with the help of police.
Molly Shattuck, 48, of Roland Park, was indicted in November on two counts of third-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact and three counts of providing alcohol to minors, according to police.
Her attorney Eugene Maurer said she was pleading not guilty to the charges, which stemmed from a relationship that police said started after Shattuck became interested in the boy on Instagram and culminated over Labor Day weekend.

While Shattuck did not strike a plea deal at Wednesday’s case review in Sussex County, Del., her attorney would not disclose whether a deal was on the table, according to USA Today.

“I’m not allowed to discuss plea offers,” Maurer told a flock of reporters and camera crews, including WBAL TV, stationed outside the courthouse.
Inside, the case was not brought before a judge but was discussed with a legal team out of the public view, WJZ reported.
As she waited for her attorney to return to the courtroom, Shattuck, wearing a black suit and silver cross earrings, quietly focused on Christian literature she brought with her, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Since her November indictment, Shattuck—a former Ravens cheerleader known for her outgoing personality and healthy lifestyle that spawned her recent book Vibrant Living—has taken steps out of the public eye.
In court Wednesday, she was permitted to use the jurors’ exit to leave the courthouse, something usually reserved for jury members, witnesses and victims—not those facing charges—USA Today reported.
She did not speak a word to reporters, according to The Washington Post.
The case is being tried in Delaware because Shattuck was allegedly involved in a sexual encounter with the victim during Labor Day weekend at a rental house on Bethany Beach, Delaware State Police said.
The victim was her son’s classmate at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, according to The Baltimore Sun, which said in the fall that her three children ranged in age from 11 to 15.
The children were also at the beach house for the holiday weekend when Shattuck allegedly purchased beer for some of them, WBAL reported. While out walking the dog with the victim, she performed oral sex on him and later propositioned him for sex, which he declined, according to The News Journal.
Deflecting a question about whether her children live with her at the moment, Shattuck’s attorney said he would “rather not talk about her personal life,” according to The Baltimore Sun.
Molly Shattuck’s now ex-husband Mayo Shattuck—president of Exelon Corporation, parent company of BGE—filed for divorce last fall, a motion that was finalized in November.
She has been banned from McDonogh School and may not have contact with minors other than her children, according to WJZ.
Another pretrial conference will be held March 18, then the case heads for trial on March 23, The Washington Post reported.
