Foundation of Baltimore County Public Library Welcomes Christine Crawford

The Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library is pleased to welcome Christine Crawford to its Foundation Board. As vice president of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Crawford brings years of valuable experience in support of Baltimore County Public Library’s commitment to a superior public library system where opportunities for literacy, reading enrichment and lifelong learning are available to all. The Foundation provides funding for projects that encourage children and young adults to cultivate a lifelong enthusiasm for reading and learning, such as Storyville, My First Library Card and Summer Reading Club, as well as raises funds for specific programs or projects that enhance systemwide Baltimore County Library goals and objectives.

"It is truly an honor to welcome Christine Crawford to the board of the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library," said Foundation Board President Jeffrey Smith. "I am confident that her enthusiasm, extensive connections and civic-minded spirit will be invaluable assets as our organization continuously broadens its capacity to support the good works of the Baltimore County Public Library."

Ms. Crawford joined the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce in July 2005 as director of membership. She was promoted to vice president in July 2008. She is responsible for initiatives designed to enhance and promote membership, the planning of networking events and outreach programs and is the staff facilitator for many community committees and programs. She represents the chamber at numerous professional, political and community events.
